Description
|
The City of Cedar Park, TxDOT and Williamson County partnered together for design and construction to widen the highway to a six-lane divided urban section from Market Street to Sam Bass Road including an innovative new intersection on RM 1431 at Ronald Reagan Boulevard/Parmer Lane called a Continuous Flow Intersection or "CFI." The purpose of the CFI is to keep left-turning traffic moving so that it does not interfere with or stop the flow of straight-moving traffic through the intersection. It works similarly to a left exit off of a freeway and will be well-marked by signage and signals well before drivers approach the CFI.
