The County’s contractor QA Construction has scheduled temporary traffic control for Wednesday, April 22, on Great Oaks Boulevard from Brightwater Boulevard to Hairy Man Road. The temporary traffic control will be in place between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The southbound lane of traffic will be shifted into the east side of Great Oaks Blvd. One lane will be maintained in the northbound and southbound direction on the east side of Great Oaks Blvd. The west side of Great Oaks will be closed off to provide a safe work zone for the workers and for traffic. The contractor will be excavating to find the existing waterlines that are located in the roadway for a future waterline connection. A stop sign will be added facing the southbound lane at Brightwater Blvd. View the layout of the traffic control that will be in place during this work. No impact to traffic is anticipated. As part of the Great Oaks Drive Bridge Waterline Relocation work, the contractor will be excavating to the existing waterlines that are located under the road for a waterline connection. Short-term lane closures are expected Tuesday, June 16 to Thursday, June 18 on Great Oaks Drive from Brightwater Boulevard to Hairy Man Road. The west side of Great Oaks Drive will be closed to traffic during this time. One lane in each direction will be maintained on the east side of Great Oaks Drive and a temporary stop sign will be added facing the southbound lane at Brightwater Boulevard. Closing the lanes will speed up the connection process. Please note that minor traffic delays are possible. Attached is a map for more information.
