Bagdad Road at CR 278

Location Bagdad Road (CR 279) at the intersection of CR 278
Description This project consists of improvements at the intersection of Bagdad Road and CR 278. This project will include a new River Ranch Park entrance road on the west side of the intersection and reconstruction of the intersection to include acceleration and turn lanes.

The design was completed by LAN. The construction contract was awarded to Champion Site Preparation. A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Monday, December 10, 2018 and construction is anticipated to be completed in spring 2020. Williamson County’s contractor, Champion Site Prep, is scheduled to pave the surface of CR 279 in Liberty Hill from Wednesday, January 15, to Friday, January 17, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., weather pending. Traffic will be shifted to created room for paving on CR 279. Traffic will be handled under one-way flagging operation while paving is conducted where the pavement ties into the existing pavement. These locations include: 1. at south end of project on CR 279 near Silver Creek Drive; 2. at north end of project on CR 279 at about 1200 ft. north of CR 278; and 3. on CR 278 where it ties into CR 279.  Please expect delays. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes the traveling public as we make these improvements.
