Status

Design was completed by Binkley & Barfield. An open house was held on Thursday June 30, 2016. A summary of the open house can be found under Project Documents. Construction has been funded by TxDOT. The contractor is Dan Williams Company. Construction began summer 2019 and is anticipated to be completed in fall 2020.

On Tuesday, June 23, crews will open the new northbound I-35 exit for Ronald Reagan Boulevard and will close the existing exit, weather permitting. The new exit will be located just north of CR 143 (see attached map). Once complete, crews will shift their efforts to work on the new northbound I-35 Ronald Reagan Boulevard entrance ramp, which will be located just south of Ronald Reagan Boulevard. This improvement is a part of the project's overall design to reverse all ramps within the 6-mile project limits for better safety, mobility and connectivity throughout the corridor. Road signs have been placed to alert drivers of the upcoming closures. TxDOT asks drivers to be patient and remain aware when traveling through the work zone.

These closures are part of the Mobility35 program which will bring mobility, safety, and connectivity for all modes of transportation. To learn more about this project and the Mobility35 program, visit my35Construction.org
