Design is underway by Atkins. Right of entry letter requests have been sent out to adjacent property owners. Data collection for environmental due diligence is underway. Survey adn geotechnical investigation work also is ongoing.
An open house was held June 22, 2016, at the Brushy Creek Community Center to discuss two alternatives on how to solve safety and mobility issues at the Great Oaks bridge over Brushy Creek as well as proposed safety improvements along Brushy Creek Road/Hairy Man Road. Another open house was held on Thursday, July 14, 2016, at the Fern Bluff MUD Community Center.
Atkins subconsultant HVJ will be obtaining soil borings along Hairy Man Road between Walsh Dr. and Sam Bass Rd. starting October 16 through November 6 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. There will be intermittent lane closures with flaggers to direct traffic during that time.
